I’m back from summer / Europe /crazy cruise things, etc…and happily settled in Brooklyn once again.
Here’s what I’ve decided…
It will take some time for me to update all the pictures from the trip, so I will do it bit by bit gradually
And today, instead of pictures of Europe, I shall upload some pictures I took in Brooklyn today! to celebrate being back here :)

Yesterday was the finale of Geneva lake festival. Since I missed July 4th in New York, I went out to take some pictures. :)

While I was in Korea, I purchased a 먹 (muk, is like a really condensed bar of ink, it’s that thing with the gold frame around it). You grind it on a stone plate as you use it. I like it because you can get really deep tone out of it. Plus I really like the smell. I couldn’t bring back the stone plate & liquid ink because they weighed too much in my luggage.
then I did some drawings/paintings on these envelops I found…
…this was my favorite one :) / drip ink + pen drawing + brush wash
drip wash + pen drawings
repeated drip wash
drip ink + pen drawing

drip ink & shifting it on watered surface / unfortunately, when this dries, it loses the smokiness and just becomes blurry…
yup, wasting envelops was fun, now I’ll just have to find a stone plate when I get back to New York.

Travel photo numero uno. I’m at the JFK airport, with my labtop testing the integrated webcam. It’s surprisingly difficult to use a labtop in JFK. There are almost no outlets you can use. I found one by the window. You can see my flight behind me!:) I rode on that tiny Swiss air plane. Also, there is no free wifi as far as I’ve observed. Yes. I paid for the wifi, because I had two hours to kill.
Oh, I was happy to see a big Alexander Calder mobile by the terminal 4 check in area. Didn’t know we had that.

I am packing! I shall pack until the morning, then go take care of some stuff at school, leave to the airport by 3 pm, get on plane, fall asleep and wake up in Geneva!
Hopefully, I don’t fall asleep before 3pm. I have fallen asleep & missed a flight before, so I am kind of worried. I DID miss my final exam for my history class last Friday…(haha, passed the class without the final! sweeeet)
So maybe I should sleep afterall, but then I’ll never have enough time to pack everything & check everything. If only I had the ability to fall asleep and wake up before noon.
Anywaysss, expect pictures from Switzerland, Korea & Europe for the next two months, happy summer, oh joy you’re finally here.
